Institutional Framework Database for Social Policy
in Latin America and the Caribbean
implementation of the 2030 Agenda
The United Nations Regional Commissions have been identified as an important space to advance discussions at the regional level for the implementation and monitoring of global agendas. In this context, the countries of the region created the Forum of Latin American and Caribbean Countries for Sustainable Development following Resolution 700 (XXXVI) approved in May 2016 at ECLAC’s 36th Period of Sessions. This forum acts as a regional mechanism to assess the implementation and monitoring of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the SDGs, their goals and means of implementation, and the Addis Ababa Action Plan of Financing for Development.
