Regional Conference on Social Development in Latin America and the Caribbean

In the framework of the activities planned by the Regional Conference on Social Development of Latin America and the Caribbean (CRDS), ECLAC, in its capacity as Secretariat of the CRDS, and under the leadership of the Ministry of Social Development of Uruguay, as President of the CRDS, will organize two virtual presentations (Webex seminars) addressed to civil society in order to explain the process of construction of the Regional Agenda for Inclusive Social Development that will be discussed at the Third Meeting of the CRDS in the fourth quarter 2019, and to create a space for dialogue with representatives from civil society.

This dialogue process will allow ECLAC to gather the analyses and reflections of civil society to be considered in the document that will be discussed by the countries in the Third Meeting of the CRDS. The presentations will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2019 in two schedules:

  • From 11:00 to 12:30 (Santiago de Chile time) for the Spanish version
  • From 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Santiago de Chile time) for the English version

Both presentations will have subtitles to facilitate communication.

In order to facilitate the reception of comments from civil society, the platform will remain open until Saturday, June 15, 2019. The reception of comments will be made electronically through the following email: conferenciaregionaldesarrollosocial@un.org.
ECLAC will systematize all of the comments that are received in a compilation document that will be part of the inputs to be presented at the Third Meeting of the CRDS.
