Description: The programme seeks to promote the social inclusion of people with disabilities and dependency, between 18 and 59 years of age, under the approaches of human rights, autonomy, self-determination and quality of life. To this end, the programme provides support services of care, assistance, intermediation and/or adaptations of the environment through the financing of individual or collective projects. In addition, the programme provides training services on issues related to autonomy and independent living.
   

Characteristics

Target population: People with a disability or dependency between 18 and 59 who belong to the most vulnerable 70% of the population.

Comments: Projects in the 3 modalities will have a duration of 12 months, with the possibility of requesting extensions for a further 12 months up to a maximum of 36 months. This procedure is regulated by the Technical-Administrative Guidelines complementary to the annual bases, which detail information regarding the renewal application, its evaluation and subsequent award.

1) Supportive Care and Attendance Services

Recipient(s): People with disabilities and dependence aged 18 to 59 years old
Mode of transfer: Plain transfer
Mode of delivery: Deposit in bank account
Periodicity of delivery: Single transfer
Recipient of the transfer: Direct recipient
Conditionalities: Be enrolled in the National Registry of Disability
Comments: Among the types of projects to be funded are: Assistance in performing basic or instrumental activities of daily living (ADLs), assistance in decision making, work assistance, job brokering, activity exploration assistance, transfer assistant, sign language interpreter or assistance dog trainer.
Description: Support actions aimed at those who present projects, under individual or collective modalities, requesting care and assistance support services for the development of activities of daily living oriented to the care of one's own body, or actions referring to the interaction with the community.
Amount : Up to $3.612.000

 

2) Intermediation Support Services

Recipient(s): People with disabilities and dependency between 18 and 59 years old.
Mode of transfer: Plain transfer
Mode of delivery: Deposit in bank account
Periodicity of delivery: Single transfer
Recipient of the transfer: Direct recipient
Conditionalities: At least 5 recipients with disabilities must be registered in the National Register of Disability (RND).
Comments: Among the themes that collective projects can address are: home support, day centres and support for independent living, and transitional housing in preparation for independent living.
Description: More complex support actions aimed at project applicants, under individual or collective modalities, requesting intermediary support services to increase their participation in social environments (education, work, recreation, politics).
Amount : From $5,000,000 to $60,000,000

 

3) Adapted environments for people with disabilities and dependency.

Recipient(s): People with disabilities and dependency between 18 and 59 years old.
Mode of transfer: Plain transfer
Mode of delivery: Deposit in bank account
Periodicity of delivery: Single transfer
Recipient of the transfer: Direct recipient
Conditionalities: At least 5 recipients with disabilities must be registered in the National Register of Disability (RND).
Comments: Among the topics that training may address are: Philosophy of Independent Living, Right to Autonomy and Self-Determination, Training for Personal Assistants in Independent Living, Supports Paradigm and Legal Capacity, Training in Family Counselling and Promotion of Adult Life in people with mental disabilities, Quality of Life Model, Personal Assistance in people with high dependency and the right to Independent Living, Community Models of Participation and other related topics.
Description: This corresponds to modifications to the usual environment (home and/or community spaces) aimed at those who present projects in this area, either individually or collectively, in order to reduce the physical barriers that may limit their performance.
Amount : From $15.000.000 to $35.000.000
