Description: This programme finances social cooperatives that promote collective work projects that allow the labour insertion of people in situations of poverty, exclusion, social vulnerability and unsatisfied basic needs. The creation of jobs is developed collectively, in order to provide the opportunity for development and social inclusion to its members and the generation of income in a dignified manner.
   

Characteristics

Target population: Men and women, disabled people, ethnic minorities and any person in a situation of social exclusion and/or vulnerability. People who are unemployed or whose livelihood is irregular work.
Area of intervention: Direct job creation (Support to social projects)
Geographic scale: National
Comments: Up to 25% of the members can be people who are not in vulnerable conditions, who can bring more knowledge and experience to the group.

1) Social Cooperatives

Recipient(s): Men and women, disabled people, ethnic minorities and any person in a situation of social exclusion and/or vulnerability. People who are unemployed or whose livelihood is irregular work.
Comments: A group of 5 people (minimum) with a sustainable project is required to participate in the programme.
Description: The Social Cooperative is an enterprise whose ownership is collective; it belongs to its worker-members, who make their decisions independently. The worker-member will receive the award established by the wage council of the activity to which the Cooperative is dedicated. It is also an educational tool that promotes the development of citizenship, as it is based on the principles and values of its cooperative identity.
