Description: PATI provides individual financial support during the six months of the community project and a strengthening of employability by means of vocational training for each participant through a vocational training course lasting approximately 80 hours.

1) Cash transfer

Recipient(s): People over 16 years of age without formal employment, prioritising young people between 16 and 24 years of age and female heads of household.
Periodicity of delivery: Monthly (with a limit of six months)
Recipient of the transfer: Direct participant
Conditionalities: Participation in the work programmes 6 hours per day for the duration of the programme
Comments: Only implemented in urban areas. Preference is given to young female heads of household. Young people who complete PATI are eligible to register with the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare's National Employment Opportunities Network (Red Nacional de Oportunidades de Empleo del Ministerio de Trabajo y Previsión Social).

2) Communitarian projects

Recipient(s): Participants of PATI-Comunidades Solidarias
Description: The projects are organised in 6-hour days for 5 days a week. This period includes 80 hours of vocational training. The aim of these projects is to contribute to improve the conditions of habitability and citizen coexistence in urban settlements, and at the same time the possibilities of productive and social insertion of the participants.

 

3) Vocational training courses

Recipient(s): Participants of PATI-Comunidades Solidarias
Description: These courses have an average duration of 80 hours. The offer of training courses is identified on the basis of a diagnosis of business and employment opportunities that is developed specifically in each municipality with community participation. The participation of women in trades that are not traditionally female is promoted in order to generate changes and modify stereotypes in relation to the capacities of women and men for work.

 

4) Strengthening of the participating institutions

Recipient(s): Institutions participing in the programme
Description: The aim is to strengthen the capacities of municipalities and their role as promoters of the development of people and territories.
