Description: EMPLEATE is a strategy led by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MTSS) to promote access to decent work for young people in vulnerable situations. It is a public-private employment generation initiative aimed at 40,000 young people between 17 and 24 years of age in conditions of poverty and social risk, who are unemployed or inactive in the labour market, but who wish to integrate into the world of work. The programme also serves young people with disabilities between the ages of 17 and 35.

Comments: During 2013, the modality for people with disabilities called "EMPLEATE INCLUSIVO" was incorporated, which is based on the same programmatic lines of action, but which in turn incorporates specific actions on disability for people between 17 and 35 years of age.

1) Avancemos Más

Recipient(s): Young high school graduates between 17 and 24 years old, living in vulnerable communities, who did not have access to higher education
Periodicity of delivery: Monthly
Recipient of the transfer: Direct recipient
Conditionalities: Attendance at training courses
Description: The aim of this subprogramme is to qualify young people with secondary studies in order to give them access to the labour market in the sector of information and communication technologies (ICT). The programme is organized in two years of study that include technical capacitation in the area of information and communication technologies, and the learning of basic English
Amount : Between ¢160.000 and ¢200.000

 

2) Por Mi (X Mi)

Recipient(s): Young people aged 17-24 living in vulnerable communities.
Description: This sub-programme provided directed training courses of six months in areas where there is an unsatisfied occupational demand

 

3) Ventanilla Empléate

Recipient(s): Young people aged 17-24 living in vulnerable communities.
Description: This is a service platform that provides guidance and information on the state's training offer and labour demand. Through it, young people have the possibility of accessing different services: empowerment and development of social skills, counselling and permanent support in employment, technical and vocational education and training, job placement and financing of self-employment projects.
