Description: EMPLEATE is a strategy led by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security to promote access for youths in a situation of vulnerability to decent work. It is a public-private initiative of employment generation targeting 40.000 young people between 17 and 24 years living in poverty and social risk, and who are unemployed or inactive in the labour market, but want to integrate it. Likewise, the program serves young people with disabilities between the ages of 17 and 35.

Comments: Since 2013, the modality for People with Disabilities called "EMPLEATE INCLUSIVO", that has the same areas of intervention, but in adition incorporates specif actions on disability, for people between 14 and 35 years.

1) Avancemos Más

Recipient(s): Young people between 17 and 24 years living in vulnerable communities, that did not acceed to terciary studies
Periodicity of delivery: Monthly
Recipient of the transfer: Direct beneficiary
Conditionalities: Assistance to capacitation courses
Description: The aim of this subprogramme is to qualify young people with secondary studies in order to give them access to the labour market in the sector of information and communication technologies (ICT). The programme is organized in two years of study that include technical capacitation in the area of information and communication technologies, and the learning of basic English
Amount : Between ¢160.000 and ¢200.000

 

2) Por Mi (X Mi)

Recipient(s): Young people between 17 and 24 years living in vulnerable communities
Description: This sub-programme provided directed training courses of six months in areas where there is an unsatisfied occupational demand

 

3) Ventanilla Empléate

Recipient(s): Young people between 17 and 24 years living in vulnerable communities
Description: It consists of an attention plaform that aim to provide orientation and information on the State offer on capacitation and labour demand. Through it, the youth has the possibility to access different services: empowerment and development of social skills, advice and permanent following in employment and technical and professional education, and funding of self-employment projects
