Seed Capital Fund (2009 - )

Date: 2009 -
Web: Official website of the programme
Description: The Seed Capital Programme seeks to develop economic development-oriented skills in entrepreneurs and microenterprises. It focuses on building capacities in business management, entrepreneurship, innovation, associations, and new financing schemes tailored to the potential of the territory and the market. Ultimately, the programme seeks to create employment opportunities and increase income levels. The initial funds are obtained through a competition open to entrepreneurs and micro-entrepreneurs who have participated in AMPYME's Training and Technical Assistance Programmes. The seed capital programme allows the creation of new businesses and the strengthening of micro-enterprises. The interested entrepreneur or businessperson must go to AMPYME's regional offices for training, which is a requirement to apply for the Seed Capital.
During the training, the entrepreneur or businessman will be guided to prepare his Business Plan, which will be used to compete for the Seed Capital, and will be evaluated by an Evaluation Committee.
