Program for the Improvement of Indigenous Production and Productivity (2014 - )

Date: 2014 -
Web: Official website of the programme
Description: The objective of the programme is to promote the consolidation of productive projects, tourism projects, and food security actions for the indigenous population organised in groups, societies, or enterprises residing in localities with an indigenous population of 40% or more. The aim is to improve their monetary and/or non-monetary income, and create conditions of equality between women and men. To meet this objective, training, technical assistance, and accompaniment are provided so that the supported population has the necessary conditions to produce quality goods and/or services; commercial strategies are developed to consolidate the presence in the markets of the products and services offered by the indigenous population; and the delivery of a package of basic products contributes to the food security of indigenous families.
