Microcredit for Wellbeing Programme (Tandas para el Bienestar) (2019 - 2021)

Date: 2019 - 2021
Web: Official website of the programme
Description: The Microcredit for Wellbeing Programme, better known as Tandas para el Bienestar, aims to promote the economic development of families and communities through the consolidation of businesses, and improve people's living conditions from a gender and social inclusion perspective. The programme seeks to strengthen the productive and entrepreneurial capacities of people with micro or small businesses that live in marginalised conditions, through support in the form of financing, counsel, and training. It consists of granting resources through productive credits; directly, without intermediaries, and with an interest rate of zero percent. It also provides advice and training to recipients when required. In 2020, the PMB adjusted its objective to promote the consolidation of the productive activities of people who start (Modalidad Mes 13 Jóvenes Construyendo el Futuro) or have (Modalidad Consolidación) a micro-business due to financial support and, subsequently, support through counsel and training.
