National Programme of Support for Micro-enterprise and Social Mobility (PRONAMYPE) (1992 - )

Date: 1992 -
Web: Official website of the programme
Description: The National Programme to Support Microenterprise and Social Mobility (PRONAMYPE), as an instrument of the State's employment policy, promotes processes of capacity building and business strengthening. Complemented with credit, it also contributes to the development of the employability of the labour force, the promotion of microenterprises, and thus the creation and improved distribution of resources. This is done through the implementation of microcredit, as well as training and technical assistance components for people living in situations of poverty. The objective of the programme is to facilitate their social mobility and improve their own and their families' quality of life, promoting their self-employment through productive projects that allow them to sustain a stable family capital and/or generate employability.
