Social insertion programme aimed at people with problematic drug use during processes of care, treatment, and social integration (2011 - )

Date: 2011 -
Web: Official website of the programme
Description: Social inclusion policies on drugs aim to generate strategies and programmes aimed at increasing social assets in education, culture, and employment, as well as reducing the vulnerabilities associated with problematic drug use in the population, with emphasis on the education system, the world of work, and the prison system. These strategies are aimed at all problematic drug users, both those who have initiated treatment processes, and those who have difficulties and/or have not been able to access the services of the health system or other social entitlement systems. These policies seek to maintain a focus on individual rights with a strong anchoring in social ties, strengthening the capacity to create autonomy, freedom, and build citizenship, with a focus on solidarity and self-managed care for all.
