I Study and Work (2012 - )

Date: 2012 -
Web: Official website of the programme
Description: It is a socio-educational-labour programme whose participants come mainly from other MIDES programmes, where the technicians involved commit to monitoring progress throughout their trajectory in Accesos. The programme consists of two phases. The first phase consists of seven months of protected work offered by public institutions and departmental governments with a social entitlement equivalent to 1 National Minimum Wage (SMN). During this phase, during working hours, participants will receive training for the acquisition and strengthening of skills and work habits provided by Accesos and appropriate institutions. In the second phase, those who have satisfactorily completed the work experience and the training provided will be included in a job registry, which consists of a list of potential candidates to be interviewed by "Sponsor" companies seeking personnel1. This list is valid for a period of 12 months, during which time job placements can be made through the benefits of the Employment Promotion Act (MTSS) and the Access Act consecutively.
