Description: The program seeks to support independent workers, individuals who were trained as well as unemployed and/or employed workers who have or are participating in specific programs of the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security, with the aim of developing entrepreneurship and promoting employment. The program was created in 2009 to support entrepreneurs to establish their projects and for workers to enter the labour market through training and technical and economic assistance, in order to promote employability.
   

Characteristics

Target population: 1) Individuals participating in the following programs of the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security: Unemployment Insurance, Training and Employment Insurance, Youth with More and Better Work, Youth participating in the Student Support Program of Argentina (PROGRESAR), Seasonal workers included in MTEySS actions during the recess period, unemployed workers with disabilities adhered to the 'Program to Promote Equal Employment Opportunities', Workers with disabilities awarded the concession of a small trade and the unemployed graduates of a training course professional promoted by the MTEySS.
2) Unemployed workers who have taken a training course
3) Independent workers who have experience or know their profession.

Financial assistance for new enterprises

Recipient(s): Workers looking to establish their own enterprise
Recipient of the transfer: Direct Recipient
Description: For the training and development of the enterprises, the Ministry grants the entrepreneurs various economic possibilities to carry out their project. These include an initial capital per participant, a monthly financial aid and a refinance.
Amount : Entrepreneurs can benefit from an initial capital of up to ARS $42.550 to consolidate the enterprise. During the training period in which the entrepreneurs are participating in the business management course, as well as during the first nine months of the start of the venture, they are given ARS $1.050 per participant. In addition, one year following the start of the project, the entrepreneurs benefit from a refinancing of up to ARS $19.550 per member to ensure the consolidation of the project.

 

Technical assistance for new enterprises

Description: For the development of projects, the Ministry trains entrepreneurs through a business management course. In addition, personalized tutoring is available for the creation and presentation of the project. During enterprise's first year of operation, entrepreneurs have access to regular follow-up tutoring.

 

Financial assistance for active enterprises

Recipient(s): Independent workers without a contract, who carry out an economic activity on their own account.
Recipient of the transfer: Direct Recipient
Description: Independent workers without a contract can benefit from financial assistance from the Ministry in the form of subsidies.
Amount : Subsidy of ARS $20.700 at the time of formalization of the worker. Subsidy of ARS $26.450 for the formalization of two workers, and ARS $28.750 if three or more workers have been formalized.

 

Technical assistance for active enterprises

Recipient(s): Independent workers without a contract, who carry out an economic activity on their own account.
Description: Trabajadores independientes no formalizados pueden beneficiarse de asistencia técnica del Ministerio, que sirve para sensibilizar sobre las condiciones ambientales del trabajo y el acceso a derechos previsionales y de seguridad social que brinda la formalización de los trabajadores independientes.

 

Assistance in marketing

Recipient(s): Independent workers (whether from new or old ventures) enterprises
Recipient of the transfer: Direct Recipient
Description: The participation in job fairs, business rounds, training workshops in marketing and production, online sales, collective branding, as well as other facilities to achieve the sale of products and the generation of relationship with companies are facilitated.
