The Division for Inclusive Social Development of DESA, in collaboration with UNU-WIDER, present a commemorative event to celebrate the legacy of the Copenhagen Declaration on Social Development on the thirtieth anniversary of its adoption.
With the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (Seville) and the Second World Summit for Social Development (Doha) fast approaching, the time is ripe to examine where the commitments from Copenhagen, now enshrined in the 2030 Agenda, stand today, and reassert that a strong social perspective on development is a must to accelerate and sustain progress towards the SDGs by 2030 and beyond. |
