| Descripción: | 7 April is the International Day of Reflection on the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda. The date marks the start of the genocide perpetrated by the Hutu extremist-led government against the Tutsi minority. To commemorate the International Day, UNESCO organizes the virtual panel discussion “From hate speech to genocide: lessons from the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda” in cooperation with the UNESCO Chair for Genocide Education at the USC Shoah Foundation and the Permanent Delegation of Rwanda to UNESCO and in partnership with the Global Action Against Mass Atrocity Crimes (GAAMAC). |
