Descripción: | The pandemic is risking reversing some of the hard gains made over the past decades by deepening pre-existing inequalities and exposing vulnerabilities in social, political and economic systems. We have seen that across every sphere, from health to the economy, security to social protection, the impacts of Covid-19 are exacerbated for the poorest and most vulnerable, including women and girls, low-wages and informal workers. At this year s UN High Level Political Forum, UNDP is hosting a HLPF Event on "Half the World: The Many Faces of Social Protection" scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 14 July at 8:00am-9:00am.
