Resumen: This note presents the 4th edition of real-time tracking of global social policy responses to the Iran war in the Middle East. The analysis encompasses 16 variables examined for 20 program types across 195 countries (box 1). Such tracking system is likely the first and most comprehensive global social policy monitoring effort mounted in response to the current crisis – see Annex 1 for a complete tabulation of country level statistics. This note presents main findings as of April 17 and comes with a complementary public excel database. Tracking combines AI-powered techniques with structured manual validation updated on a continuous basis. Possible future versions of the note will be released pending on the evolving nature of the crisis.
