Resumen: Globally, 1 in 10 children has a disability—a statistic that translates into nearly 240 million children in the world today.1 Children with disabilities have an undeniable right to education, but for them to achieve this right, education systems must be inclusive (see Box 1). Investing in inclusive education systems is essential for creating morally just societies in which all children can participate equally. Such investment can also yield economic gains for children, their families, and societies as a whole.
