| Resumen: | In June 2015, Kaushik Basu, former Sr. Vice -President and Chief Economist of the World Bank, convened a Commission on Global Poverty to advise the Bank on how to improve its practices and procedures for the measurement and monitoring of global poverty. The Commission was chaired by one of the world’s foremost experts on poverty and income distribution, Prof. Sir Anthony Atkinson, and comprised another 23 leading economists with relevant expertise.
