| Resumen: | The global population is growing older, thanks to improved diets, better sanitation, medical advances and greater prosperity, as well as falling birth rates. Such is the pace of change that, by 2050, the older generation will outnumber those under 15. These demographic changes are now progressing fastest in the developing world which, in the space of a generation, will be home to eight out of ten of the world’s older people. We cannot afford to waste their experience and expertise. |
