| Resumen: | The report presents the results of a three-day expert workshop on Financing Global Social Protection toward a funding mechanism for Global Social Protection based on global solidarity instead of global charity. The experts do not aim to replace national social protection schemes. On the contrary, they claim that those would benefit from a global scheme and that much could be learned from social protection equalisation schemes that exist within and among high-income countries (Australia, Belgium, Canada, Germany among others). |
