Resumen: The IOM Forum on Global Violence Prevention held its second workshop on 28-29 April 2011 to examine the successes and challenges of calculating direct and indirect costs of violence, as well as the potential cost-effectiveness of intervention. The main objective of the workshop was to engage in multisectoral, multidirectional dialogue that explores crosscutting public health approaches to violence prevention. To that end, it was designed to examine these approaches from multiple perspectives and at multiple levels of society, especially focusing on exploring the successes and challenges.
