Resumen: Sustainably reducing poverty requires breaking the inter-generational poverty cycle and freeing the poorest and most vulnerable children from the deprivation of basic services. Together with UNICEF, the Government of Bangladesh has launched three interventions aimed at enhancing developmental opportunities for urban working children, street children and orphans, respectively. However, the life span of the interventions and their coverage is negligible in contrast to the total number of children in each group. This study sets out a plan to cover all the most vulnerable children under these three interventions and explores the scope of these interventions for employment generation and reduction of poverty in general.
