Descripción: Presentation and discussion around the book « Mémo sur la nouvelle classe écologique » by Bruno Latour & Nikolaj Schultz. The importance of ecological concerns continues to grow even though the political mobilisation of ecology remains marginal. One solution could be to take up the old notion of social class but to inflect it with the geo-social dimension, which is more in line with current issues and allows one to find one’s way through the new ecological conflicts. Nikolaj Schultz has been working for several years on geo-social classes as part of his thesis. He and Bruno Latour recently published a brief summary of the problems raised by this reintroduction of the notion of class (Mémo sur la nouvelle classe écologique, La Découverte). Moderation by Frédérique Aït-Touati, Historian of science, CNRS Researcher and Scientific Director of the Master en arts politiques – SPEAP, Sciences Po. This conference organised within the framework of the Master en arts politiques – SPEAP (Sciences Po School of Public Affairs) is open to Sciences Po students, teachers and staff only (a Sciences Po card will be required to access the building and a health pass will be required to access the amphitheatre).
