Social Pact for More Inclusive Social Protection

Objectives

The program's central objective is to promote the development of inclusive social protection systems in Latin America and the Caribbean through studies, methodological tools, and assistance with dialogue processes that facilitate and promote the generation of broad social pacts between diverse actors (government, civil society, and private sector).

More specifically, the project will develop case studies, theoretical-methodological frameworks, and recommendations regarding public policy reform alternatives. It will also seek to create dialogue spaces through seminars, workshops, working groups, and the exchange of experiences at the government and inter-institutional levels. It will likewise offer technical assistance and accompaniment to selected regional governments on policy alternatives as well as experiences and methodology for the generation of pacts and reforms regarding social protection.

Products

The project contemplates among its principal products publications and technical material that will be as much an input as a result of national and international seminars, technical assistance activities, and virtual forums. The construction of a network of scholars, decision makers, and social and political actors will constitute a base for reflection and diffusion of the project results over time.
