My First Employment Programme (Programa de Primer Empleo) (2007-2011)

Description: The objective of the programme is to contribute to the creation of more and better jobs by helping people to generate new sources of permanent employment. The support consists of a subsidy applied to employer contributions paid by employers when registering workers who meet the established eligibility conditions with the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS). The programme ended in November 2011.

Exit strategies or criteria: If the data provided by the employer to the institute is false. If the employer provides false information or data in the determination cards submitted to make the payment of the employer's labor fees, caused by the assurance of all his workers. If the employer fails to meet any of the requirements established in the granting of subsidies.

1) Subsidy of Employer Contributions

Recipient(s): Individual or legal person with employer registration before the Institute, who receives a subsidy derived from the Program.
Mode of delivery: Deposit in bank account
Periodicity of delivery: Monthly
Recipient of the transfer: Direct participant
Comments: The amount of the subsidy was determined based on the base contribution salary with which the employer has covered the employer contributions of each worker registered in the Programme, applying a percentage.
Description: Eligible workers are those who have not previously registered with the IMSS; those who have been registered as temporary workers and can register in the program when they cease to be permanent workers; those who have a history as a permanent worker with the IMSS, when they have not previously registered as a permanent worker for a period of more than nine consecutive months with the same employer.
