Resumen: In the field of social protection, research on disability in the Global South has lagged behind in the study of inclusion of persons with disabilities. However, recent years have seen interest grow in key aspects of the disability-social protection nexus. This annotated bibliography brings together a range of global resources covering, for example, disability and rights; the inclusion of persons with disabilities in social protection programmes; and various issues related to eligibility, coverage, generosity and effectiveness of disability programmes in a number of low- and middle-income countries. Together, they begin to shine a light on the diverse needs of persons with disabilities, uncovering critical policy gaps and offering clues for the direction of future policy development in the area of social protection and disability in the Global South. We hope that it will be a useful resource for policy-makers and practitioners as they work to promote disability-inclusive social protection around the world.
