Description: ProJóven works on comprehensive training to facilitate labour insertion, self-employment and income generation. ProJóven's goal is to improve the quality and coverage of the Popular Workshops (training modality of the National Institute of Vocational Training -INFOP- through local civil society operators) and to adapt training to the demand of dynamic sectors such as construction and tourism through specialised Training Centres. In both modalities, ProJóven promotes social cohesion, a culture of peace and violence prevention.
   

Characteristics

Target population: Young (men and women) between 16 and 30 years old.
Area of intervention: 1) Technical and vocational training
Geographic scale: Tegucigalpa, San Pedro Sula, Puerto Cortés, Santa Rosa de Copan, Trujillo, Tela, Comayagua, La Ceiba
Targeting method: Categorical (Young people, men and women alike, at risk of social exclusion living in marginal and conflictive neighbourhoods in large cities in Honduras).

Description: Its specific objective is to improve the quality and coverage of the offer and the linkage with the labour market and other similar efforts aimed at young men and women at risk. It is envisaged to provide comprehensive training that includes technical aspects, human training, entrepreneurship, etc., linked to labour demand.
